Our Philosophy
At Lakeview Academy, we believe the fine arts are not an extracurricular activity — they are core to a complete education. Manestage Productions exists to develop the whole student: confident, creative, collaborative, and compassionate.
Our theater program operates with the same rigor and professionalism as the academic departments. Students learn by doing — auditioning, rehearsing, building sets, designing costumes, managing productions, and performing before live audiences. The experience is transformative.

Theater builds unparalleled confidence in verbal and non-verbal communication. Students learn to project, articulate, and connect with audiences — skills that translate directly to careers, college interviews, and life.
Every production is a team effort requiring trust, coordination, and mutual support. Students learn to listen, contribute, and elevate each other — building the foundation of great leadership.
From Shakespeare to Sondheim, our productions immerse students in great literature, history, and culture. Theater education deepens reading comprehension, critical thinking, and empathy.
Theater demands innovation. Students develop creative thinking as they navigate blocking, character development, technical challenges, and the unexpected realities of live performance.
Portraying characters of different backgrounds and circumstances builds profound empathy. Theater students consistently demonstrate higher emotional intelligence and perspective-taking abilities.
Arts education is a powerful differentiator in college admissions. Many Lakeview theater alumni credit their experience for scholarships, leadership roles, and professional success.
Our Programs
Upper School (9th–12th Grade)
Our flagship program featuring full-scale musicals and theatrical productions. Auditions are open to all Lakeview Academy upper school students.
Middle School (6th–8th Grade)
Developing the next generation of theater artists through age-appropriate productions and foundational theater education.
Lower School (K–5th Grade)
Introducing the joy of performance to our youngest students through exploratory theater, storytelling, and creative movement.
Community
Manestage Productions is committed to bringing the arts to the broader community. We partner with local elementary schools for touring productions, offer free community nights for select performances, and collaborate with the Hall County Arts Council on regional initiatives.
Enrichment
Each season, Manestage Productions invites working theater professionals to Lakeview Academy for masterclasses, workshops, and residencies. Our students learn directly from Broadway alumni, professional directors, choreographers, and designers.
